Try, "World enough and Time" by Biblio http://jd-divas.com/biblio/weat.shtml -- Jack refuses to leave Daniel behind at the end of the movie, instead he brings him home, with him. It deals with Jack's divorce, having lost Charlie, buying a new home, Hammond arriving. It takes off from the movie and into the series with the difference that Daniel was there all the time and there was not the one year gap in SGC's timeline. It's slash. J/D eventually. Jack has a lot to work through first, and so does Daniel.

It's great, like all of Biblio's stories.
