AU Possibly Quantum Mirror Fic?

 I'm looking for an AU possibly a Quantum Mirror fic.

I think AU-Jack goes through the mirror in another universe and comes to the SGC. He meets Daniel, who never joined the program in his universe. Can't remember much else but at the end AU-Jack goes to find AU-Daniel on a dig in Egypt and wants him to join the Stargate Program. Also I believe he flirts with Daniel outrageously and Daniel is flustered.

And I may be mixing two (or more) stories up here but I think in the AUverse the Goauld have invaded earth already, if I remember correctly. I think Daniel had a friend/boyfriend who worked with him on the dig who died shortly before (or just after) the invasion.

Kinda vague much huh?! Anyone got a clue? Thanks muchly!

I know the relief effort in Cairo one. It's by Redbyrd and it's Rearranging Fate (http://www.mindspring.com/~redbyrd/rearrangingfate.htm). There's a lot of really good writing on the author's archive...

I don't think this is the one the OP was looking for, though. =)

I mixed up two fics and so you are right too. This is one of the ones I was thinking of and mashing together with another in my mind. But this is one of my faves and I was sure it was at Area52 and couldn't figure out why I couldn't find it, so now I know. Thanks so much for responding, much appreciated!!

Don't know this one as you're right this isn't one of the ones I was looking for (found out I was mixing two stories together, as I suspected), but I always love a good mirror-fic and being pointed the way to good writing, so thanks for the link. I appreciate it!!
