Once upon a time, several years ago I read a Jack/Sam fic on ff.net where Sam and Jack went through the gate and got separated from the others because of a malfunction and ended up in another galaxy. The gate system there was much older and somehow slowly deaged people who used it. Many years later and younger Sam & Jack get back to the SGC only to learn they've only been gone days/weeks instead of the decades they lived. Does anyone remember this fic? I want to reread it and see if it really is as awesome as I remember.

Hello. Hope someone can help find this fic. Unfortunately, I don't remember everything that occurred in that fic (or the ending which is also why I am trying to find it). But the story is something like this: Daniel leaves SGC after no one believed him about Apophis' attack (after the episode wherein he entered the alternate reality).

This is like a "what if" kind of fic wherein the attack doesn't happen soon after Daniel returns. So no one believed him and he was hurt/betrayed by this so he left and disappeared. But a year later (not sure of time actually), SGC is trying to find Daniel (who had disappeared) because for some reason which I forgot, they have news that Apophis is about to attack earth and they needed more information which may help (i.e. Daniel's account from alternate reality).

Some minor stuff I remember:
- Daniel was in Egypt, in archaelogical dig and stays with a couple who were friends of his late parents. Their whole team protects Daniel and tries to hide information about him when people from SGC started looking for him. Later, SG-1 team went to find him after the first team returned with no news.
- Daniel overhears Jack asking about Daniel's whereabouts (Jack was asking the couple who took Daniel in) and Daniel pretended to be "Daniel's lover" and was hostile, telling Jack Daniel didn't want to return because no one believed him or something
- Jack was told by an unknown person that Daniel was in a bar at the hotel they (SG-1) were staying in and he finds Daniel there (initially he thought it was the man who was supposed to be Daniel's "lover")
- General Hammond ordered SG-1 to take Daniel back by force if necessary and Daniel surrendered to keep his companions (the couple) safe but he was mad and initially wouldn't cooperate once he was at the Cheyenne Mountain.

I really want to read a story where Daniel doesnt marry or find a way out of the marrige to Sha're without hurting her reputation or any fic where she is given to someone other then Daniel Jackson. I would love for the fic to be long please and endgame Jack/Daniel. And please don't make me cry with a lot of angst.

I am looking for a fic I remember enjoying years ago. It is a J/D alternate ending to the episode There But For The Grace of God.

Daniel is trapped in the alternate reality he found through the quantum mirror, and evacuates with General Jack and the SGC to an off-world mining base. Daniel helps introduce them to friendly worlds, particularly Tupelo's world. General Jack chases Daniel, who refuses while Jack is engaged to Sam. Janet, Paul and Catherine Langford help to run the off-world base. They eventually connect to Earth through the Antarctic gate. It not only has a great story, there is some hot pron on a beach!

I have been searching everywhere (I am in the mood for J/D apocafic with off-world bases - what can I say!) and have not been able to find this fic. I appreciate all your assistance!

I've been skimming archives for this and just can't find it. I remember that there were two realities, which I'm going to call A and B. Daniel A gets pulled into time line B. I'm not sure how or why. Daniel B is all ready dead in his reality, and Daniel A agrees to stay and help out in the current time line. In order to convince everyone that he is the "same" Daniel Jackson, he voluntarily has one of his legs amputated to match an injury Daniel B suffered from.

I'm also pretty sure it was Daniel/Jack slash. I remember at one point Jack B offers to give Daniel A a massage because he's having a really ruff time with his recovery from the amputation.

It's been about a year since I was in Stargate SG-1 fandom with any seriousness. On browsing recently, I came across a Quantum Mirror fic that sounds outstanding, and that I can't wait to dive into. I noticed it was published this year. So I'm curious if there are more of these gems of ficcage hiding out there I don't know about. I'm looking for fics featuring a Quantum Mirror prominently published since 1/2011. I'll take either slash, gen, or het (as long as it's NOT Jack/Sam). Oneshot or chapter fic doesn't matter. Ok, so I haven't been able to find much of anything with Daniel's parents in it. I especially like time travel and alternate universe fics. I've read almost all of LE McMurray, though she seems to focus on Claire more than Mel. Anything goes; origiasl childhood, time travel, through the mirror fics; anything.

I'm also looking for stories where someone else is Daniel parent. I've found some where Jack was really his dad, and one where Hammond was his father. I really like this type of story for some reason. (shrugs.)

Basically, anything with family.

I would prefer gen, though light parings don't bother me.

Okay, so I remember reading this several years ago, but I forgot the name of the author and the stories. Basically, there were these three fics with the same basic plot:

Daniel comes to an alternate universe after(because?) Jack died, and I think the Daniel of the alternate universe is dead. The difference is that in one of the stories, Daniel is gay (and I think that one is Jack/Daniel..?), in one he's straight and the third has a Danielle instead of a Daniel.

Does someone know what this is/where to find it?

Does anyone know of any stories where Daniel Jackson travels to alternate universe to find his parents alive but himself dead? Or anywhere his parents travel to his dimension to find there dead son alive? Or even a time travel fic where Daniel meets his parents. I recently read one fic where his parents travelled via quantum mirror with Dr Carter in tow and then stayed behind with him and it’s made me want more. Any help would be great. Thank you.

I'm looking for a fic where the team go through the mirror & end up on an AU alpha site or lab planet. Jack & Daniel are a part of the team there but AU!Daniel is military & full on psychotic & AU!Jack is scared of him.

Anyone know this one?

Also, can people recommend any other quantum mirror fic (Daniel focused) that they know of?

Quick question, because frustratingly, I wasn't successful finding anything on my own:

Does anybody know where I can find tags to the SG1 episode in season 10, "Bad Guys"? You know, the episode where the gate is in a museum and the SG1 team is the first alien contact of that planet? Where they have to fake a hostage situation until they can go home?

Or even episode fics to "Point of View", "Ripple Effect", "The Road Not Taken"?

For example, I'd like to read a sort of "what happened after?" tag to "Bad Guys" that goes into how the SG1 team's visit inevitably changed the planet's politics, maybe SGC gets contacted by that planet later.

I don't care if it's gen/slash/het, sga instead of sg1, etc. It's the presence of plot, however faint, that I care about.

So. All I remember of the fic is that somehow, Daniel gets split into several (I think it was 3) differently aged versions of himself (possibly mirror realites or stargate malfunction). One pre-slash with Jack, one est. rel., and one that knows all Jack's buttons. The majority of the fic takes place in a big VIP holding room on base, for lack of a better word.

There's lots of angst and sexuality discussion and generally very good charachterization. I think it took some convincing from the Daniels, but in the end there's sex and then happy reunion with the 1 true Daniel. I initially thought paian/komos had written it, but I've searched Ao3 and I can't find it. Please, help?

I would dearly appreciate any help you can give, as I have been looking for months.

The basic premise of the fic is that Jack and Daniel are in an established relationship. While on a mission something goes wrong with the gate leaving 3 or 4 different copies of the team on the same planet each from a different AU. After every thing goes to hell and the Daniel and Jack we started the fic with are home you find out that the Sam and Teal'c that came through with them are both native to different AUs and are both in love with Daniel. Both decide not to say anything.

im looking for a jack/daniel au fic which takes place after the ep point of view, where at the end of the ep sam from the other reality zats everyone and takes jack through to her reality and sets the quantum mirror to explode. daniel goes through after him and the mirror blows up. They realise theyre stuck in the other reality and try and help that world out with their expertise. Jack resigns and gets together with daniel. Eventually carter and teal'c manage to find another quantum mirror and go after them.

OK I have been looking forever for this fic so any help would be appreciated. It starts on Earth and then they go to a planet where things are completely weird and I think that there were like 4 or 5 different versions of sg1 running around and by the time the Danny and Jack we're following get home. I think that they had managed to bring the wrong teammates with them and Danny doesn't notice but Jack does because they are in love with Danny too.

I read a fic that featured mirror Rodney and John and then I think mirror John and Rodney getting together. The one line I remember specifically is that John goes to the mirror universe where the mirror John is a rude, brash scientist, and he hooks up with the mirror Rodney and then mirror John says to him "So you get this too."

But also, any good fics featuring the mirror verse are appreciated! Thanks!

I checked the tags but was unable to find this story and I can't remember who wrote it.

Daniel and Jack (who are from two different realities) are stranded. Jack is older and Daniel is younger than the Daniel from Jack's reality. They fall in love and Jack decides he's going back with Daniel when they get rescued through the formerly mal-functioning gate. When Sam and Teal'c do come through the gate, they are surprised to see both Daniel and Jack alive as when they returned they heard a splat on the iris an were convinced it was one of them.
I know this a crappy recap, but I'm hoping someone can help me out!

I was wondering of someone knows the fic I've een looking for but can't find. I read it a while ago.

It was about a Jack from another universe meeting up with this universe's SGC. In his universe he had a relationship with his Daniel. Their Sam took offense that Jack didn't want to be with her and got Daniel killed on purpose. I can't really remember if she actually did it herself or didn't provide adequate assistance offworld.

When that Jack comes into this universe, he takes out of the picture Sam by shooting her kneecaps (I think). That way she isn't dead but she also won't be putting Daniel in danger any time soon. So, hopefully someone knows what fic I'm talking about, cause it's ben driving me crazy!

I have a scene from a fic I read a while ago stuck in my brain, and would be grateful for any help finding it. I think it was part of a longer series, but the part that I remember was an au of "Ripple Effect", or had a similar premise in that SG teams are getting sucked into an alternate universe.

So I'm having extremely vague impressions of a story...so vague in fact, that I might simply be pulling it out of my ass...

It was a quantum mirror story where Jack looses his Daniel and then uses the mirror to search through as many alternate universes he can until he can find not only a world where he can stay/is needed. More importantly, a world that has a Daniel who is receptive to his interests. I also remember the story being pretty intense and angsty, but ultimately there's a happy ending. ring any bells whatsoever?

I'd also be happy with any good AR quntum mirror stories. I have already gone through the tag on this journal and loved the few stories that were there.
(I'm only looking for SG-1 though, and Jack/Daniel would be a plus, but not a necessity. Thanks!)
