Early season 1 recs?

Hi there -- I randomly watched the original Stargate movie on a whim last week guh, James Spader <3, and I've been aching for some post-movie/season 1 interaction between Daniel and Jack since then. Gen, slash, whatever. Unfortunately, google and keyword searches can only get a person so far, so I figured I'd bother you lovely people over here.

Anyway, while I'm mainly interested in Jack-Daniel bonding, I'm open to anything, as long as it's Daniel-centric and within the first season. Teamfic, Sam-Daniel, Teal'c-Daniel ...Kawalsky-Daniel? Have at the recc'ing! I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys dig up. :D

If you have a fondness for epics, you could try the "Simpatico Series" by Roo (aka Bastmoon). She's using frames, so I can't link you directly to the series, but her website is here (http://www.bastmoon.net/) and it's easy to find. She's written a slash-oriented but closely canon-based spin-off on the first two seasons with a Daniel (and ultimately Jack/Daniel) focus.

Try, "World enough and Time" by Biblio http://jd-divas.com/biblio/weat.shtml -- Jack refuses to leave Daniel behind at the end of the movie, instead he brings him home, with him. It deals with Jack's divorce, having lost Charlie, buying a new home, Hammond arriving. It takes off from the movie and into the series with the difference that Daniel was there all the time and there was not the one year gap in SGC's timeline. It's slash. J/D eventually. Jack has a lot to work through first, and so does Daniel.

It's great, like all of Biblio's stories.

check out the [livejournal.com profile] redial_the_gate community. They have run all the way through season one and after each episode, there is the post for ep-related fanworks. You will find some very good things in there. Also, check out [livejournal.com profile] green_grrl's themed lists. And delicious (http://www.delicious.com) will get you places (easy to search once you get the knack.) I am here (http://www.delicious.com/place4mystuff) and you can check out my network for some very well-organized stargate fic. If I think of a specific season one story, I'll post as well.
