FIC SEARCH: Jack/Daniel or gen?

Yay, just a couple days ago I was wishing for a comm like this. Okay, lessee...they're off world. One of the old coots is with them, maybe Bra'tac. Or could be Jacob. Or someone else. Me and my memory. There's this big fort thing, where the soldiers are led by a young charismatic guy. Meanwhile, across the way, there's this other group led by a nut. I believe Daniel winds up among the nut's group (great, now I'm picturing a giant, menacing peanut). Thanks for any help!
