John, Rodney, Jack, and Daniel ascend and meet an Ancient. They figure out this isn't the first time they've been "rebooted". They make plans to do things better this time around and then get sent back in time. John and Rodney are still in high school, Daniel's in college, and Jack's a captain in the Air Force. John's parents sort of adopt them all. John's grandfather is a former president of the US. I've been looking for it all day and just can't find it.

I am looking for some help finding a story. From what I can remember Atlantis has landed on Earth and a computer programme starts targeting everyone without Ancient DNA. SG-1 and friends have to work out how to stop the countdown/evacuate Earth.

While Daniel is ascended (assumed dead? not sure which time it's set), Jack starts having sex dreams about him. He later discovers that it was actually ascended!Daniel visiting him while he was asleep.

I am looking for a fic, I think it is Jack/Daniel but may be gen. What I recall:

It is set around the end of Season 8 or between 8 and 9.

The SGC starts getting info on a new threat called the Ori (not canon like). It turns out that they were ascended who were bad or something and were all imprisoned by the Ancients and now they are learning how to get free.

Daniel knows (remembers?) how to destroy them.

SG-1 (with Jack) and Mitchell and Bra'tac go to a planet where the prison is.

Daniel stands on a pedestal and Jack and Teal'c, I think, shoot him with staff weapons.

When it is all over, the building is gone and they are lying on the grass and Daniel is dead until Jack shoots him with a zat.

Thanks to everyone who helped with my last search. I'm looking for a story I read a while ago. Sg-1 ended up in a series of caverns. One was filled with gates and dhd's. There was a quake or tremor and some of the gates fell. Daniel was the only one to live. Somehow the ancients were trapped in a gate and Daniel released them. That's all I can remember. Hey,

Im looking for a fic which i though was on area52, but can't seem to find it.
Its a jack/daniel first time fic, post new order when jack takes over the sgc. I think ba'als fleet is in the atmosphere and everyone starts evacuating untill drones from the ancient outpost fire and destroy the ships. Turns out jack did it with his mind and starts turning ancient. The asgard can't seem to help so Hammond retakes command of the sgc as jack isn't given much time to live. Jack and daniel get together through the story.
I won't spoil the ending in case anyone wants to read it.

But does anyone know the fic im looking for?

Hi. Yup, I've lost ~~my marbles~~ a fic again... have read it some years ago. I don't even remember if I liked it or not, but it's been bugging me for a while now, and I can't dig it up anywhere, so... you know how it is ;)

Anyhoo, I remember a scene/part of a fic, where Ascended!Daniel helps Jack by getting inside of him (sort of, taking over) while Jack's been tortured by Baal. In that way, Jack doesn't feel much or any pain, is detached from the torture sessions, and Daniel is the one who suffers. After a couple of times Jack realizes what Daniel's been doing...

Um... that's it. I think it might've been slash, but I'm not sure. I can only guess it's an AU for Abyss (but it might not be).

Sorry for such a sketchy description, but this detail is pretty...well, memorable, so I'm hoping it will be enough of a clue.

Greetings and salutations!

A while back I read a FABULOUS Jack/Daniel series but neglected to bookmark it and have forgotten the author's name and the story titles (I am deeply shamed.) The series is post ascension but pre-descension. In the first story Jack is at a cemetery, drunk, sees and talks to Daniel. Jack thinks that he is drunk and/or losing his mind and engages in some serious suicidal ideation. The series takes off from there and involves mysticism, cabins, hurt/comfort, lots of really good stuff.

Can anyone help me find this series again? I've tried not to give too many details away in case others haven't read it yet and want to read it once one of you brilliant people point me in the right direction.

I'm looking for descension fics, please. I have read through the thematic list, but I'm wondering if there are any more? The descension doesn't have to be a major plot point--just Daniel's life after it, trying to move on or whatever. Anyone's point of view is fine, but I'd rather Jack/Daniel or gen.

AU descension fics is fine, too. Also, anything focusing on the ancients and choosing to punish Daniel.

Hi! I'm looking for a rather long fic, not a series. Teen or Adult rating, adventure/drama/AU. I don't remember much of it but I think it may be on Jackfic.net somwhere.

The Plot: Jack is sent back in time, to a strange planet where he meets a woman, Ayiana from the episode "Frozen". Ayiana was an Ancient who Ascended, but got sent back to the planet to help Jack. Together they explore the planet, and Jack is his usual heroic self and saves the vilagers from something, can't remember what. Later in the story, instead of just Ayiana being found frozen in the ice Jack is there too, and can only speak Ancient. Sam tries to help him to remember SG1, and her, and how much Jack used to love Sam. I can't remember how it ends, though, I think Ayiana possibly dies.

It's a really good fic, though horribly summarized here. Please, can anyone help? And, um, can anyone make a "het: jack/ofc" tag? Thanks!

I'm looking for any stories with the Ancient Aiyana. I just finished watching the SG-1 episode "Frozen" and it reminded me how much I love that character, even though we only saw her for one episode (plus her very brief non-speaking appearance in the prologue of the Stargate: Atlantis pilot "Rising"). I'm very curious to see what other fans saw in her character, what she may have been like before the Ancients left her in Antarctica before they left for the Pegasus galaxy and what her personality may have been like before she was abandoned in the outpost. Any and all recommendations will be greatly appreciated!
