Lost Jack/Daniel fic

I'm looking for a fic where Daniel goes off-world with another team, and Jack tells him he won't rescue him if he goes. Then Daniel ends up in this labyrinth where there is supposedly a Minetaur, but really it's just a deformed big bloke called John.  I think the villagers get rid of their deformed children and blame the alleged Minetaur?

The colonel in charge of Daniel somehow goes insane and Daniel and another injured soldier must outrun their colonel. Meanwhile Jack totally blames himself and Sam is not very nice in this fic.
Does it sound familiar to anyone?
