I've been rewatching the entire series and once again I grow annoyed at how Jack and occasionally Sam treat
Daniel.  Are there any stories out there where they grow apart without Daniel just forgiving them all the time. Maybe slash, where Jack actually loses or at least comes very close to losing Daniel to someone else and regrets it, or maybe gen where he realises one day that Daniel has a new best friend?
Or where the team as a whole loses Daniel to other people who value him more?
Thanks in advance

I'm looking for two things:

1) I remember a series of meta pieces on fanon about Daniel and how accurate they were (and weren't)? Some of the topics included Daniel's addiction to coffee, how frequently he died, his tendency to be bullied by SGC marines, him getting hurt the most out of SG-1, his stubborn pacifism, etc.

2) Are there any stories where SG-1 is subjected to a trust exercise to prove their worth before the native population? I don't mean for a sadistic purpose, a straight trade-yourself-for-the-others scenario or a fuck-or-die trope, just... someone has to do something seemingly fatal or very OOC, based solely on the orders of another team member and without understanding why.

(As an example, there was an Atlantis story that involved Sheppard's team swallowing various drugs on Sheppard's say-so without knowing what the drugs did, but it wasn't really the main plotline.)
