Looking for a specific fic. The fic starts off with Daniel and Sam somehow getting captured and put into cages on their way to a slave auction. The scene I specifically remember is Daniel writing out phoenetically in the sand how Sam can ask for help (or possibly get directions) if she should escape without him. The story briefly talks about the reasoning for him writing it out like that...it has something to do with Sam having a better visual memory or something, as opposed to simply hearing the language...

She does eventually escape with Daniel's help, while he goes on to the slave auction by himself. After that my brain gets a little fuzzy, but I think the Tokra get involved...possibly to buy Daniel at the auction instead of simply trying to break him out.

The story might also have been Jack/Daniel at some point, but I'm even less certain of that.

SGA John, Teyla, and Rodney

I'm looking for an SGA fic and I'm pretty sure it was gen, but it might be McShep. The basic plot was that John is captured and basically used as a human battery. He ends up with amnesia but manages to escape his cell and runs into Teyla and Rodney who are there to rescue him. I'm pretty sure Rodney freaks out that John doesn't remember anything. There is some scene that shows the dead bodies of other gene carriers the group used as batteries in the past and there are maybe one or two others hooked up but barely alive.

It was a deeply creepy story.

Any ideas?
