FIC SEARCH: Jack/Daniel

Okay so here is what I'm looking for ...

...Daniel has a party at the middle of which he finally tells everyone the reason for it - he's leaving the SGC. I don't know if he said he was retiring or what, but I think the General knew about it, maybe, but the rest certainly did not. Jack of course gets angry asks to speak with Danny in private, in the kitchen, they argue, some scuffling occurs at some point Daniel comes out on top and he leaves Jack on the floor to go to his room (I want to say upstairs, so the party may have been held at Jack's instead of Daniels' but I can't be sure). Jack follows. I don't know the time frame, whether they made declarations during the fight downstairs or after Jack joined him in the bedroom but they make love that night. Jack thinks this will have changed his mind. Daniel tries to sneak off during the night but Jack catches him and tries to convince him again, only to have Daniel apologize and be beamed up by Thor. Of course this escalates Jack's concerns and now we know that Daniel isn't retiring from the SGC so much as going off on some death is imminent type mission. Jack gets aboard Thor's ship to discover they need Daniel's help w/ an Ancient weapon to fight the replicators, it will save the universe yada yada yada ... but it will tap into Jack's ascended state, thereby endangering his life, more likely than not his efforts will lead to death. Daniel does come close to losing it but Jack's there grieving and some part of his Ancient gene connects to something in Daniel and we get our happily ever after, I think. I'm fairly certain we do at least. I don't tend to generate to non-happy endings. 

I hope someone has come across this. I've gone over Area 52, Archive Of Our Own and The Alpha Gate and I have yet to come across it. :(

Hello, I'm looking for a genderbender fic, in which the team visits a planet, where gender equality is realized through experience; in other words, everyone has to go through a mandatory procedure of being 'the other' for some time, and switching is encouraged. As a friendship declaration to the planet's inhabitants, Sheppard gets caught up into changing gender, and the rest of the team follows (save Rodney, who's unable to undergo the procedure).

Later on, with that changed situation, there's a lot of deep portrayal of the characters. Sheppard is just 'holding on' stoically, and enters a relationship with Rodney; Rodney is trying to be nice, which spectacularly fails with Sheppard due to 'don't treat me like a girl' offense. Ronon quite enjoys the change, being able to defy the expectations (we learn some interesting details of about Ronon's past, which is quite moving). Teyla considers the change an abomination, and her kinsmen are of the same opinion and refuse to deal with her; it makes her even more unhappy, and easily offended, even aggressive.

I also remember it's a therapy fic - there's Heightmeyer's pov, and it's very insightful.

Sounds familiar to anyone? :)
