Looking for Specific Story

This is the first time that I have posted something in this community, but I am completely lost. I've been looking for a specific fic for the last few days and have had no luck finding it. It was a fic about Daniel Jackson, but I do know that Jack was featured prominently in it as well. Here is what I remember. It started with someone running a background check on Daniel and the SGC finds out about it. Jack and Daniel confront the instigator only to find out that the man was Daniel's paternal grandfather. Daniel didn't know about him since his father left the family years before Daniel was born, because he wanted no part of the family business. It turns out that the grandfather wants Daniel to take over the business, because he doesn
t believe any of the other family members are worthy of the position, since they are all pushovers. Daniel was invited to a family dinner in order to parade him in front of everybody. Daniel ends up giving him a talking to in front of everyone about what a tyrant he is and that everyone else were what he made them. He proceeded to walk out. One other thing I remember is that there was a deaf child in it.

I'm not sure if it was slash (Jack/Daniel) or gen (J/D Friendship).

Old fic: SG-1 on a mission with a new member who is homophobe?

Hi!

So, it's been a very long time since I read fics from this fandom, but I was re-watching some old episodes and I remembered this fic:
SG-1 is on a mission on a new planet and they have a new recruite. I think it's a female one and she hero worships everyone in the team except for Daniel. She is very mean to him and is sure that he is gay. I think that at some point Daniel is injured and she sees everybody's reaction to it. I don't remember if Daniel really was gay in the fic, but in the end I think she changes her mind about Daniel but she was a spy for someone in the army?

I hope someone knows what I'm talking about!
