Hello. Hope someone can help find this fic. Unfortunately, I don't remember everything that occurred in that fic (or the ending which is also why I am trying to find it). But the story is something like this: Daniel leaves SGC after no one believed him about Apophis' attack (after the episode wherein he entered the alternate reality).

This is like a "what if" kind of fic wherein the attack doesn't happen soon after Daniel returns. So no one believed him and he was hurt/betrayed by this so he left and disappeared. But a year later (not sure of time actually), SGC is trying to find Daniel (who had disappeared) because for some reason which I forgot, they have news that Apophis is about to attack earth and they needed more information which may help (i.e. Daniel's account from alternate reality).

Some minor stuff I remember:
- Daniel was in Egypt, in archaelogical dig and stays with a couple who were friends of his late parents. Their whole team protects Daniel and tries to hide information about him when people from SGC started looking for him. Later, SG-1 team went to find him after the first team returned with no news.
- Daniel overhears Jack asking about Daniel's whereabouts (Jack was asking the couple who took Daniel in) and Daniel pretended to be "Daniel's lover" and was hostile, telling Jack Daniel didn't want to return because no one believed him or something
- Jack was told by an unknown person that Daniel was in a bar at the hotel they (SG-1) were staying in and he finds Daniel there (initially he thought it was the man who was supposed to be Daniel's "lover")
- General Hammond ordered SG-1 to take Daniel back by force if necessary and Daniel surrendered to keep his companions (the couple) safe but he was mad and initially wouldn't cooperate once he was at the Cheyenne Mountain.
