Jack/Daniel friendship pre-slash

I'm looking for the fic that has Daniel suffering/recovering from prostate cancer. I've looked everywhere. (spent the last two days looking it feels like) I'm really at my wits end. The story details (very realistically) Daniels treatment and Jack's friendship and support through the whole ordeal. There is a slash epilogue prequel bit as well. Thanks in advance.

I've seen it in one of the fanawards archive lists. I'm not sure where it's archived or who wrote it, but I think it's called:

"There is a Pain So Utter"

I've never been able to read it myself (it's too close to personal things for me), but I've heard it's excellent.

Hopefully having the title can help your search. :-D

The author is 'Pough'. It was on-line then taken down and released in printed zine form. I don't know if it's timed out and back on-line but it might be.

I remember now. All I could remember was it was a cancer near/with the reproductive organs and prostate was all I could come up with. Which is probably why I had such bad google-fu

The slash epilogue is called 'The Language Of Touch.' Pough's stories have been taken off Area 52 and she doesn't have it on her website.
