Daniel Jackson, M.D.
5 July 2007 01:28 amI have this phrase stuck in my head: "Daniel Jackson, M.D.", said in a tone you would use to say, "Bond. James Bond."
I can't remember if it's from a fic or an episode or maybe a dream. At any rate, I'm wondering if there's any stories of Daniel (or Jack, or Daniel and Jack) as medical doctors and/or secret agent spies. :) Thanks!

Date: 5 July 2007 02:45 pm (UTC)There’s the older The Spy Who Loved Me (http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/dmouse/spywholovesme.htm) by Dangermouse. That’s about it.
Sunraven has the Kidnap and Ransom series where Jack’s works sort of undercover, and recruits Daniel to work with him. Your can find it on my theme list here (http://starting-gate.livejournal.com/21596.html#cutid1). Because I’m too lazy to do all the links and none of the stories are linked at Area 52. :) Scroll down for the author’s name.
Perfica does a wonderful maintaining the awesome J/D AU list (http://community.livejournal.com/stargate_search/66970.html) where you can find more AUs. There are a few where Jack does some undercover work, or where one or both of them are police detectives. If you want the specific titles of those, let me know.
I don’t think there’s a single one where one of them is an M.D. Clearly, we need someone write that "Doctor Daniel" story.
*nudge nudge*

Date: 5 July 2007 03:34 pm (UTC)The only doctor one I can think of is a kid!fic in which Daniel is an orphan who gets brought into the emergency room and Dr. O'Neill treats him, then adopts him. A Promise of Home (http://home.comcast.net/~jennamajig/apromise.htm) by Jennamajig.
