Fic Search: Jack/Daniel

Hello!

Am looking for a fic where the first man Daniel'd fallen in love with is dying and so he goes off to visit him, accompanied by Jack. The man's married now, has kids, but is still very much in love with Daniel. I remember his wife resenting Daniel a lot.

Also, I can only very vaguely recall another fic wherein Daniel tells Jack of his first male lover; how the guy was taking his doctorate (i think) while Daniel was still in his late teens, how they shared a drunken kiss during a party, and how the guy turned Daniel down cos he was too young yet Daniel didn't let that deter him and pursued the other man relentlessly until he said yes. He goes on to say that they were very much in love but just sort of stopped because life got too busy--the other man went on to a dig in Egypt and Daniel was busy with his studies.

If anyone could help, it'd be greatly appreciated!

I was just looking through her stuff before posting this, but if it is hers, I can't seem to find it. She's a very prolific writer and I can't seem to remember the rest of the plot other than it being in Jack's POV.

I'm not sure, but I think the second one is either Dangermouse's Coming Out series (http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/dmouse/slash_out.htm), or Brionhet's Disconnected series (http://www.bunnyfic.com/brionhet_slash.htm).

I haven't yet read Dangermouse's Coming Out series, but I'll take a peek.

And it isn't part of Brionhet's Disconnected series...I doubt I'll have an easy time finding it as I can't remember anything else of the plot than what I've said and the story being in Jack's POV.

The details don't exactly match, but could the second one that you're looking for be Anais' Little Things (http://web.archive.org/web/20060828233907/www.versaphile.com/anais/LittleThings.shtml)?

Not sure if you've already come across this; but the only Ronon/Daniel fic that I've ever read is Kellifer's Red Sky at Dawn (http://kellifer-fic.livejournal.com/13461.html#cutid1), set in the Pegasus Ba'al universe.
It's fourth part in an AU that began with Tafkar's Dark Moon, High Tide (http://www.tafkar.net/dmht.htm), followed by Dith's Under a Broken Moon (http://dith.popullus.net/pegbstories/pegb-brokenmoon.html) and Kellifer's The Palest Sky (http://community.livejournal.com/pegasus_b/61877.html) and Red Sky at Dawn (http://kellifer-fic.livejournal.com/13461.html#cutid1). This whole AU starts off Daniel/Rodney, before gradually morphing into Jack/Rodney, John/Teyla and Ronon/Daniel.

On a side note, if anyone know of anymore Ronon/Daniel fics, I'd be interested as well. I've been on the lookout for fics of this pairing for a while, since the hotness of these two absolutely melts my brain (I know; I'm shallow...), but sadly, I haven't had much luck.

OMG YES! It IS Anais' Little Things! Am such a spazz, forgetting like that as am constantly rereading her Daniel Jackson's Diary. (has there been a sequel to that, btw?)

And AWESOME! Finally, a Ronon/Daniel fic. I could not believe that I couldn't find a single one when I went looking, seeing as how they are quite possibly the hottest people in both Stargate 'verses and should be having a lot of how sex.

Hadn't gotten that far through the Peg B 'verse fics before I got all confused and the rest of the stories divered from the main storyline. Thanks for the tip!

Spring did write a companion piece to Anais' Dr. Jackson's Diary, Jack's Journal (http://web.archive.org/web/20060709120853/www.versaphile.com/anais/JanuaryJ.shtml), but it only goes up to April. Not sure if there were any other continuations.

Peg Ba'al is an AU of Peg B, and yeah, I got really confused too when I first ventured into the Peg B verse. But I found (http://orca-girl.livejournal.com/profile)orca_girl (http://orca-girl.livejournal.com/)'s Pegasus B story guide (http://community.livejournal.com/pegasus_b/35705.html) to be infinitely useful when navigating the fics written for this AU. Hope it will be equally helpful to you! =)

My first thought when I first encountered Ronon/Daniel was that it's a pity these two never shared screen time together on both of the shows, though understandably, the two characters have no real reasons to cross paths. Regardless, it would have been interesting to see what kind of chemistry they would have had, and the hotness quotient alone would have been mind blowing... *sighs and goes to hunt for more fics*
