when do zines time out?

I usually can't afford zines (even if I always want to read them) so I have wait for the stories to time out and for the authors to post them publicly. If they ever do...

Is there any chance the Surfacing zines (McShep, http://agentwithstyle.com/atlantis.htm) will time out? I recently found out about them, and saw the author list (!!!!) and want them terribly, but eeek! overseas shipping!

It seems to me that zine stories usually time out after a year, but different publishers may have different rules. That is an awesome author list!

Several of the authors have Livejournals. A lot of them are quite approachable and I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you posted a question in their journals or emailed them about it.

I believe that this particular zine is, sadly, a 2 year timeout. I know because there's a story I desperately want to read in it.
