lost mcshep story

 HIYA EVERYONE,

first time on LJ, hope you dont mind a question first up;

the story i'm looking for starts with john waking up to find rodney in bed with him. in the morning he's gone and they dont talk about it.

this happens several times and john begins to realise that it coincides with his almost dying and decides to prove his hypothosis by getting himself into more and more dangerous situations.

they eventually work things out in their own little way!!

Thanks so much for replying. It is a great story but it's not the one I was looking for.
This one has Rodney realising he cant sleep unless he can reassure himself that John is alive.
John tests this by doing stupid things like jumping into a freezing river to save Rodney's laptop.
I know it's definately pre 2008.

Ah, sorry about that, then. The story you're looking for sounds like it'd be a good read as well, so I'll try and keep my eyes peeled for it.
