I have read tons of fics where Sam wants to have children and Jack is the one who thinks he is too old or can't take the emotional pain because of Charlie.

I was wondering if there was any fic that had Jack as the one wanting another go at biological children and Sam being the anti-biological clock/Pro-choice person in the relationship and it causes major problems. (bonus if ends with breakup, adoption, and/or Sam/OtherthanJack)

This excellent fic only touches on the having children issue, but it does look at potential conflicts between the characters in a fresh, even startling way: paian's Five things Sam wishes Jack had never said in bed (http://paian.livejournal.com/58402.html). Maybe the adult tone (in the sense of mature and complex *g*) would fit what you're looking for?
