There's a fic where Daniel is captured and tortured. To stop him from talking, he mentally unlearns or stops himself from talking. And then he can't remember how to.
Does this sound familiar? It did to me, but I can't remember anything else about it.

Date: 14 August 2008 05:48 am (UTC)This one, whomever captured Daniel treated him like an animal and anytime he used his voice to speak, he was beated. The one scene I can remember, was everyone thought Daniel was back, okay and doing well. However, in his mind he wasn't allright. He thought Jack was giving him signals that he wanted to be 'serviced' and went to his knees, trying to undo his pants. Jack and his team go nuts to control the situation.
