Theme search - Amnesia Fics

I am looking for amnesia fics featuring Daniel. None of the thematic lists I have come across have amnesia fic links. Although I like all amnesia fics, this search was started because I have not been able to locate a fanfic that I read long ago in which Daniel  took a vacation to work on a dig somewhere in the US (North Carolina maybe?) and was later robbed, beaten and drug behind a truck which caused him to have amnesia. He stayed in the town to recuperate and later became an auto mechanic. If anyone knows of this fic or other amnesia fics, please let me know.

Another fic I read  awhile back and cannot now locate is a story about everyone else on the team forgetting who Daniel is. Someone else has taken Daniel's place on the team and no one is the wiser until Jack finds a photo that has Daniel in it and he becomes suspicious. Does anyone know this one?

You can find some amnesiac fics on starting gate's Whamied Theme List. The stories are lited with descriptions followed by the type of whammy in brackets, so it's fairly easy to identify those fics that deal with amnesia.

I vaguely recall that first fic you were looking for, but unfortunately it was so long ago that I read it, I'm afriad I can't help. Though I don't think I read it at Area52.
