This is a WIP and I've lost track of it.

Some catastrophe befalls earth and a number of people are emergency evacuated off Earth and eventually arrive at Atlantis.

John and Rodney are teenagers and Jeannie is younger.

Rodney is notified that he and his sister are going to be picked up when a personal beacon goes off.

John is pulled out of school.

John is convinced that it wasn't him that was supposed to be saved, but his father, and spends time looking for his father among the other refugees.
