LF academic accolades?

I re-read Footnote by Corby (found it saved as a word doc on my laptop, no idea where it came from) and now I want MOAR.

I would love any recs for academic or civilian accolade/acknowledgement for any SG-1 or SGA members. I looked at the thematic lists but no joy.

I am also looking in particular for:
1) any stories with McKay underestimated/overlooked/ignored in an academic setting? Brain Storm tags and fix-its adored!

2) Daniel is in a hotel bar, and some academics are making fun of him. Eventually Nyan comes up all deferential and it turns out he is the keynote speaker
3) a similar fic, but in this one, Jack gets Sam to go up and slay his detractors with her brains and beauty.
ETA: #2 & 3 is the same fic: Breakfast at Tiffany's by Mitch (thanks nicky112 and captain_tibbs.

4) another similar fic, this time with Jack coming to the conference as Daniel's bodyguard. May have a line about Daniel's unlimited gov't funding, since all academics want that (Jack trying to make the detractors envious)

I seem to be bugging the community more and more... THANK YOU for continuing to feed the addiction.

ETA for clarification: I'm looking for any fic that gives the stargate scientists their due for their intellectual advances

Hmmm... re the first, cesperanza's tour de force Written By the Victors (http://www.trickster.org/speranza/cesper/Victors.html) (SGA, John/Rodney) includes a significant amount of academic analysis of events occurring at Atlantis and in the Pegasus galaxy. Don't know if it's what you're looking for, though.

And re your #1, again, I don't know if it's up your alley, and probably not quite what you're looking for, but synecdochic's brilliant Freedom's Just Another Word for Nothing Left to Lose (http://www.kekkai.org/synecdochic/sga/freedoms_just_another_word.html) (also John/Rodney, of a sort, plus a bit of Ronon/Weir) has post-SGA McKay teaching at a small college.

Both these stories are brilliant, but you are right--not quite what I was looking for. Still, I have a rule about re-reading Freedom every time I see it recced so... :D

Sort of going with the theme, I once read a fic where Daniel went to his (I believe high school) reunion and Hammond gave him a colonel uniform representing his civilian rank, which impressed the jock types that had gone into military careers. Ring any bells?
