No Abydos?

I saw a summary for a story somewhere, but can't recall the author, URL or find it in my history. It must be a few years old now, because I think I remember reading it long ago. The story was about Jack deciding NOT to let Daniel stay on Abydos after the movie. I recall a scene where Jack tells Daniel that Shaure would not suffer unduly for the rejection when he 'abandons' her...
