Somehow I neglected to save this awesome story. It's Jack/Daniel permanently stranded offworld, getting together and learning how to cope with the fact that they will spend the rest of their lives alone there. The only small detail I remember clearly is that Daniel was running out of paper to write, and I think Jack learns how to make some for him. I'm pretty sure this was a very popular story that others will remember.

Ack! I know I've read it, but I don't remember the title. It's post-Torment of Tantalus, an AU where they didn't make it through the gate at the end of the episode.
