specific fic search: post-Abyss Jack angst

I'm sorry, I don't know why I can't find this, except I'm horrible at remembering specifics.

This is an older fic.  I think I read it a couple of years ago.  Jack is in a hotel room (?).  He's sitting on the ground watching the light move up the wall and imagining that it's Daniel (in his ascended form).  I think he talks to the light, although he does not actually believe that it is Daniel he's talking to.  The light moves to the end of the room and then disappears.  That's all that I remember.

It was pretty short but very powerful.  I hope someone can find it again.  Thanks in advance!
