(I really hope this is  SG1) Jack and daniel find a neclace, and one of them puts it on.

The neclace makes him able to read the other ones mind and when the other tests it, he can't lie.

 It's not The Other Half by Eliade....

Sorry it's very confusing... The more I think of it it HAS to be SG1...... or maby not???

No, you're right -- I think there is another one on that theme.... *I think*. The idea of there being one pings me, in that "yes, there's another necklace/compelled to tell the truth story and it's not The Other Half".

My memories of this are sadly probably 8 years old, but I'll see if I can dig anything up (unless someone else comes up with it in the meantime).
