Fic Search: J/D feat. Danny's parents

Hey y'all!
I'm looking for a J/D fic wherein Daniel's parents from an alternate reality stumble onto our SG verse, and one of the differences in their world is that Daniel died as a child. Oh, and I think (don't quote me on this) that Daniel and his father end up arguing about something.

I think in Shedoc's, it's our SG-1 that stumbles into the other reality, then meet that AR's Claire and Melbourne. They later come back to our reality for a few days. Their Daniel is still alive and still married to Sha're. He is offworld on Abydos when our SG-1 is in that reality, because Sha're just had a baby, as I recall.

I haven't read it myself, but doesn't Brionhet have one where another reality's Claire and Melbourne come to our reality?

Ah, you are correct. I was remembering their visit to "our" SGC and that "their" Daniel wasn't around, plus that "our" Daniel got angry with them after a while for hovering and being parental. I don't know the other story you're thinking of.

Yep, one of the things I liked about Shedoc's was that reality's Claire and Melbourne seeing the differences in our Daniel from theirs, i.e. his greater ability to singlemindedly focus on a problem, the greater breadth of his linguistic skills, differences that may have resulted from the way our Daniel was raised as opposed to theirs. Interesting insight.

As to Bri's, like I said, haven't read it myself, but have heard of one such referred to on the lists. And I may be totally wrong on the author... Ack! I am of no help. :-/

The Brionhet one is gen rather than slash, but it does have Daniel's parents stumbling into our world, from one where they work at the SGC and Daniel died as a child.

It's on Stargatefan, but I can't remember what it's called.

I just had a look at Bri's site, and this story (and the one I was thinking of) is called Contingency. It is indeed Gen, but it looks like it might fit the other fic parameters being looked for.
