fic search: jack/daniel

I am trying to locate a multi-chaptered fic that I had been following back in December and January.  I've looked for it now that I'm back online again, but I never did bookmark it, so I don't know the author or where it was archived.

The basic plotline was the discovery that Daniel had an Ori gene, much like how Jack has the Ancient gene.  I don't remember too many details other than that.  I think that Jack and Daniel were not talking much because of some Jack/Sam messiness, and this new discovery was starting to bring them closer together.   

eta:  I remember more: Jack and Sam were engaged at some point in the past of this fic, and Jack had broken it off for some reason that hadn't been written yet.   Sam and Daniel were still friends and Jack had distanced himself.   Teal'c wasn't mentioned much if I remember, unfortunately.

Would anyone know of this fic or know if it's been pulled from the web?  Thanks!

It's driving me crazy becuase I could have sworn I had it bookmarked, but apparently I didn't. And now google searches are just showing me forums. When I had to stop going online a few months ago, it was about 4 or 5 chapters in and just becomming interesting!

me too! It's a long shot, but I thought I'd try. I'm pretty good at googling for and hunting down stories that I've read, but this one is just not sohowing up anywhere. If I had a title or something, it'd make things so much easier!

There's a story that pops up called Jack's Origin. Is that it?
