Jack Retired, Daniel w/Amnesia
4 June 2012 10:46 amI'm looking for a story that I was confident I'd saved, but apparently I was wrong.
I believe it was within the last year or so, and I think I read it on livejournal, but both those impressions may be wrong.
In the story, Jack has retired to care for Daniel, who suffered a brain injury/amnesia and become a recluse. Jack calls in markers to keep Daniel from being committed and/or interrogated by ... um, someone in SGC? They have moved to a house in the country, and Jack has bought a dog who keeps an eye on Daniel. There is an electric storm, Daniel freaks out, and begins to remember that he and Jack were together before he was injured.
I want to say the title was "A Measure of Truth" but that title has brought no hits in searches, and so I'm asking this wonderful group if you can help me out.
Also, when I try to select tags, they are condensed so I cannot see the whole tag to select it. This is Jack/Daniel slash.
Most gratefully,
GreenWoman

Date: 4 June 2012 04:01 pm (UTC)THANK YOU!!!!! For helping me find it, and even moreso, for writing it. I really love this story and was mightily unhappy with myself when I found I hadn't saved it.
Many many thanks again, on both counts. %-)
