Daniel leaves the SGC

This is really bugging me, I am trying to find a fic and I can only remember bits and pieces. For some reason Daniel leaves the SGC (through the stargate) and SG1 is looking for him. I think the gate room guards shoot at him as he is going through the stargate and hit his arm. He is planet hopping (looking for something). I believe he ends up on Tuplos planet (Land of the light) and his is thin and tired. SG1 finds him and he runs with SG1 giving chase. Is this familiar to anyone????

Thanks, but that is not it. The story I am looking for is Gen. I want to say it takes place after Egnima, where Daniel is removed from the program because he helped the Tolans, but I am not sure. I know it is not "Not Quite So Young" by Maureen T.
