Hi again, days ago I asked for "In the Days of Monarchs", it turns out it was the wrong fic, my bad. I was searching for a fic set after Menace, I think. I seem to remember that Daniel wanted to leave, but they sent him on a dig he was on before joyining the program because of the US military involvment and he was forced to take Jack with him. There there are his old collegues and turns out one of them, I think his name was Darius, maybe abused and tried to kill Daniel in the past, and they were excavating a site in which, unknown to them, crashed a goau'ld spaceship. Daniel doesn't remember what really happened at the time, after the incident the US military, they were funding the excavation, shut down the dig. Jack goes with him because somehow the US military are involved again...I remember that Daniel felt uncomfortable having Jack fussing over him because Darius teased him about being gay or not and making Jack believe that there was someting between them, I'm fairly sure it wasn't slash. ...ok, I thik that's all. Thanks!

You're welcome! This is one of my favorite of ELG's fics. It's not one to be read quickly but slowly, savored and taking the time to appreciate the nuances of the unfolding story. This would have made a wonderful episode of Stargate.

You know what? I knew the title but I thought it was another story...plus I found another story of her that I love, The Gift.
