Looking for recs for "not evil symbiote species"

Hi! I have recently fallen back into the Stargate reading binge and am somewhat frustrated finding fics in a specific genre, namely "No species is all good or all evil, so the SG1 (or SGA, I am not picky) makes contact with a symbiote offshoot that is benign an helps fight the war". I have read Litgal's Not in Kansas epic several times, as well as Lady Ras fic, and through pure chance even found "A star to steer by" WIP, but unfortunately come up blank with other recs. It isn't exactly within goa'uld/tok'ra category. I prefer to read long, worldbuild-y fics, if possible.

So, can anyone help me out with recs? Thanks in advance!

This is a Tok'ra story, so it might not be what you want. But it's one of the best fic I have ever read anywhere.

Thanks, as chance would have it, I actually finished reading Machinery the day before I posted the request! And while it is immensely good written, I am not a big fan of the whole unequality "hosts should be seen, but not heard" theme that this fic in particular has going. (Aside from that, I find Tok'ra depressing as hell - they are a dying species, not all that many around and not able to reproduce).
