Fic Search - Daniel Rescues Jack

I posted this back in April but haven't had a response so I hope its ok to post it again.

Would anyone know where I can find a story about Daniel rescuing Jack after they've been attacked at possibly a temple. I remember Daniel was knocked out and knifed in the back, maybe left for dead. After waking up and finding Jack gone, he goes after him, Daniel cant get hold of Sam and Teal'c, can't remember why, who were off somewhere else. I think Daniel might have impersonated a Goa'uld to get Jack away from the bad guys, who might have been sent to that world as a punishment?. Oh and while Sam and Teal'c search for them they both assume that its Jack that's rescuing Daniel.

I've been looking for this fic for more than 2 years now, so if anyone can help I would be extraordinarily happy!

Unfortunately, I don't think this is the story you're looking for... but the broad description sounds very much like "Hero for a Day" by Sam Walker, which I like a lot and can't resist mentioning! :)

If that's not in fact the fic (some of the details you describe don't quite match), I too would like to know of this fic you're talking about! (Because I love "Daniel has to rescue Jack" fics!)

Nope thats not the one but its one of my favourites and I read it whenever I get bummed about not finding the other one! Thanks anyway. I'll post here if it does turn up.
