Daniel assigned an assistant

Sitting here reading SG1 fanfic I remembered a snippet of a fic that I read some time ago. As it is only one small part I have no clue how to find it. Hoping someone here might recognize it. The only thing I can remember is Daniel is assigned an assistant (military I believe) and Jack instructs him on how to handle Dr. Jackson. I also remember something about Daniel going missing. Not much to go on I know, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
