FIC SEARCH: Probably Jack/Daniel, maybe Gen

I *think* it might have been a Dangermouse fic, but I'll be switched if I can remember which one. There's this one bit where Jack, Daniel, Sam and Teal'c are all on base and then they each get a sort of mental compulsion to go to the gate room. The only details I remember is that Daniel doesn't have his boots on (he'd been working in his office and had taken them off) and Sam had been in her quarters and showed up in a pink robe, pajamas and, I think, fuzzy pink slippers (yes, teasing happened - later ;-).

Ring any bells anyone? It's most likely J/D, but could *possibly* be gen.

It's driving me crazy.

ETA: FOUND! The lovely and talented aelfgyfu_mead reminded me that this was Heart of Darkness by jmas, and or its sequel, Mercy Season, also by jmas. Both are gen and both are terrific!

It rings lots of bells; I haven't found it yet, but I'm still looking. I thought maybe if I posted the details I remember, I could either a) find out we're not talking about the same fic or b) give someone else enough clues to find it.

I don't remember the name Dangermouse; I thought it was at The Tablet but can't find it there. I've Googled with what I recall.

I remember what you say. I also remember: SHOULD I PUT A SPOILER WARNING HERE?
it's the Nox calling for help. It turns out Apophis is on their planet. He attacks Daniel with a hand device modified to suck out Daniel's soul (I'm paraphrasing badly), but Jack gets in the way, with results that are hard on both of them.

I entered all the right words into Google (Stargate fic Nox Apophis slippers--that was my first string, I tried several others), but it didn't turn up on Google. Some things don't.
