Fic Search - SG1 team fic - Jack central

I'm looking for an older fic where the team is captured off-world and they somehow make Jack telepathic or empathic or something. The scene I really remember is towards the end. Jack has been severely whumped throughout the whole story and there is an alien girl who is telepathic who has been helping them out and she is going to use her powers in order to contact the Asgard who are somewhere nearby, however, she needs Jack's help to do it because it's very draining and demanding. Jack waits until she starts the connection and then takes over so most of the strain is on him and while he gets help for the team he does himself real damage and they aren't sure if they're going to get him back. I know that was long winded but not much information at the same time. I hope someone can help me! I remember really really liking this fic, but I have no idea where to find it. Thanks!

oooh i remember reading this ages ago!
the girl was actually from earth and had been taken by the same aliens who took jack.
Cant remember where i read it though sorry.

and i think it had something to do with jack's ATA gene, and i think they found out the girl had the ATA gene aswell.

Yes, that's right! I didn't remember it until you said it, but that's right. I was really hoping someone would recognize it. Maybe with this new info someone'll remember more. Thanks! It's good to know I'm not crazy.

I know that story as well, but I'm not sure where I read it. I believe it was a group of renegade Asgard that were experimenting on them. They were using the machine that Niirti built, I think, to try and break down the block Thor put on Jack's genes. His friends are transported with him into his cell, but only realize a while later, that the forcefield only works on those who have the ATA gene. So they go out, find the girl and manage to break everyone out. They beam down to the planet and the renegade Asgard are searching for them. They figure out that they're in the Ida galaxy, but can't remember the address to get to the Asgard homeworld.
