Fic Search: Daniel Leaves the Progam

Hi all,


Just getting back into fandom in general and had a thought: Are there any stories where Daniel leaves the Program and is dragged back for some reason or another (willing or not). If there are parings, please indicate.

Also, looking for any fic where Daniel is abused/hazed on base and says nothing. No one realizes what is going on. Daniel can either stand up for himself or others may realize what is happening.

It's Jack/Daniel and rated R and oooooh I hate bullies! This Daniel is a little less inclined to stand up for himself than i prefer. (I'm understating, here, the first time I read it, it bugged me, but i went back for seconds and in the context of this story and its moral, it just worked)

There's a great fic where Daniel opens his own bookstore and I've misplaced it. I can't wait to see if anyone recs it here, because I'd love to read it again. I remember his return to the program being aggresively pursued, and Jack and many others protecting his right to whatever life he wants without being considered a security risk, including some ringing endoresments by some way way higher ups. (to say more would be to spoil it horribly)

This is excellent! And hunt up the sequel, 'Shidachi.' There is a promised third story, 'Uchitachi' but I was unable to find it, so I'm assuming it isn't posted.
