I seem to have lost my mind this Saturday morning, since I am unable to remember the simplest thing.

So, can someone remind me (and provide me with a link) who wrote that story where they have to have sex in order to get through the gate, and - I think - Daniel sleeps with Sam, and then with Jack, but they have to wait a while because otherwise the sex would have no effect?

There is a great story where the Asgard make a final stand against the goa'uld and lose. They beam up everybody within a five mile radius of Jack, put all these random people on a ship, and these survivors make a break for it. Sam spends all her time in the engine room keeping the ship running and making it faster. Siler helps her and the people on the ship bring her offerings of chocolate. Jack is having a quiet, hidden breakdown as the commander of the last remanants of Earth humanity. Many people crawl off into corners to commit suicide because they can't cope with what has happened. Daniel contemplates having to sacrifice his glasses (and hence his eyesight) to someone who needs them more. Daniel tries to help Sam and Jack hold it all together, going back and forth between them, and sleeping with them both.

This was one of the most moving apocofic I ever read. Not long. Somebody give me a link. I cannot remember title and I don't have a bookmark! *headdesk*

I like Sam, but I really don't like the Sam/Jack pairing, which means I mostly stay clear of any stories with Sam in it.
So could people rec me good stories about Sam, either gen or het, Sam/Teal'c or Sam/Daniel would be nice. Actually Sam/Rodney would be lovely too.
I don't mind what genre or length it is.

Two reqests, neither for specific fics:

1) Post-Ascension Daniel/Sam, only not really. I'm looking for something to address the fact that Sam is the only member of SG1 Daniel didn't visit while ascended, and/or the fact that he asked her if they had been involved. Something made him ask. I'm not necessarily looking for a Then-They-Got-Together fic, fluffy or otherwise (though I'd be happy to accept those recs too), because I'm not looking for something that puts the Daniel/Sam relationship above Team (or any of its permutations). I'm a big big fan of Team!fic. It's just that I think there's something there that was never really explored.

Er. That's a tall order, I know. I'd really appreciate any recs. Thank you.

It also doesn't have to be the point of the story - if this thing is acknowledged in passing in any fic, gen or slash or het of any pairing, I'm happy.

2) Aaaand, switching gears! I would adore getting recs for your absolute favorite Then-They-Got-Together, long plotty mistaken!angst-(so-it's-really-fluff) Daniel/Vala fics.

I love me some Daniel "Take Charge!" Jackson, so I'm looking for any fics where Daniel is in command of something....the SGC, the Atlantis expedition, a ship, a team, etc. I'm sure there are some out there. A note: I'm not looking for any "'Absolute Power' Evil Daniel takes over the world" fic, but other AUs are fine. Thanks in advance!

This is one of the first fics I remember reading, my first ever angst fic.
Off world sex in some temple lead to Sam getting pregnant.
The pregnancy/baby was accelerated growth.
I think Jacob was in it and I'm not sure but maybe Daniel was the father of the baby
the baby died in the end
Since the baby was classified due to the accelerated growth factor they couldn't even have a regular grave so they gave it a marker as if miscarried in the Garden of the Gods or something.

A friend is searching for a long lost fic with the following details:

It's a Sam/Daniel story.

Daniel is Hammond's foster son.

All I really remember is at the end, Daniel has decided to leave the SGC, Sam drives over to his apartment and "talks" him out of it (nod nod wink wink), and then Daniel calls "dad" at the SGC but has to leave a message. It was "Tell him his son called."

Hi! I'm looking for rape-recovery fics. Explicit is fine, but I'd like the focus to be on the recovery part, not the rape part. Please no stories where everything is made better because the victim gets to have sex with their One True Love (although stories that eventually lead to other romances are fine).
