Stargate Search

I read this years back, so I apolgise if the description sounds a little vague. From what I remember, Jack disappears off world during a mission and the teams is unable to find any trace of him. A year later, with Sam now leading the team of three, they go back to the planet (because of a feeling Sam has, I think?) and through whatever means discover that Jack has become the ruler/god of said planet. He also has some sort of spirit inside him (the spirit chooses each new leader when the previous one passes away). It leaves off at Sam, Daniel and Teal'c observing Jack from a window, who is outside surrounded by a group of women, and Daniel mentions it's the harem of the gods.

The fic isn't particularly shippy (maybe some Sam/Jack UST), and it explores the power dynamics between Sam and Jack. They conflict over a number of issues ranging from Jack going back to Earth (he doesn't want to) to wearing the Native clothing to the team dealing with a perceived betrayal from Jack.

I hope that's adequate enough for someone to identify it! Like I said, the version I read was incomplete, but if you know of a finished one, I would not be unopposed to that! :D
